Arrival - Dismissal - Traffic

The following procedures  we hope will provide for a safer parking lot and an orderly dismissal in the afternoon.

MORNING ARRIVAL:

1. BUS STUDENTS use the MAIN entrance.
    

2. BICYCLISTS use the MAIN entrance. (bicycles in rack on the playground side of school.)
    

3. STUDENTS TRANSPORTED BY PARENTS should be dropped off at the MAIN ENTRANCE.  Parents should enter the parking lot on the CHURCH SIDE and exit on the PLAYGROUND SIDE as indicated by the arrows on the map.
   
   If there is a need for parents to come into the school, then use the OFFICE ENTRANCE. No vehicles, other than the Wheelways bus and assigned staff cars, are to go beyond the front corner of the building at the office entrance.
   
   The school opens at 8:25. Prior to 8:25, students are to wait outside the MAIN ENTRANCE or in the porch on days of inclement weather.
    

4. WALKERS:

   (a) Coming from the church side of the school, students who are walking are to come through the church yard to the OFFICE ENTRANCE.

   (b) Coming from the playground side of the school, students who are walking are to enter at the MAIN ENTRANCE.

  

AFTERNOON DISMISSAL:

1.  Parents are asked to park on the CHURCH SIDE OF THE LOT.
    

2. Parents entering the school are asked to wait for students in the Office Lobby

   (a) Bus students board the busses at the MAIN entrance.  Space must be left on the parking lot immediately in front of the MAIN entrance to allow the busses to back in.

   (b) Walkers wait in classroom until the buses have left
   
   (c) Students who are picked up daily by parents will wait in the classroom until after the Bus leaves.

   (d) If a parent intends to pick up a student who normally takes the bus or walks, you are asked to send a note or call the school prior to 2:20 so students can be sent  to the lobby.
